Fashion Trends And Tips So You Can Look Amazing

Upcycled Clothing You Just Have To Create Yourself

Upcycled clothing to create

Upcycled clothing is the way to go. For those that don’t know, the act of upcycling basically means to take something old or used and turn it into something new. And what better way to do that than with our clothes.

I’ll admit, I love shopping for clothes. It’s also fun learning what the new trend is popping up and how many ways designers showcase them on the runway. But, let’s be real, clothes are expensive. It takes money to keep up with fashion. That’s what makes upcycled clothing so interesting to me.

Another upside to upcycling your clothes – you save a lot of money. Can you imagine having a new wardrobe without having to buy new clothes? Talk about a bargainers’ ultimate dream. Upcycling can help you stick to your budget and not only declutter your closet – but actually declutter your financial closet. We no longer need to take out a loan on our car title just to shop for our clothes.

Plus, these upcycled looks are just so amazing! I’m talking a total transformation. Can you imagine getting to constantly update your wardrobe without burning a hole in your wallet? You must check out these upcycled clothing.

No Sew Upcycled Looks I Am Obsessed With

Now, I’ve never dabbled in DIY’s or upcycling before. I have zero experience with a sewing machine so I just assumed I wouldn’t be any good with upcycling. But then I found these! Simple but still cute.

  • DIY Off The Shoulder Shirt

Talk about simple! This off the shoulder shirt requires no sewing, cutting, or gluing – just take a button-down shirt, make some adjustments, and, voila, you have an off-the-shoulder look.

  • DIY Pants With Side Stripe

Denim jeans are getting a makeover. These side-striped jeans are not only cute; they are very easy to create.

  • DIY Cut-Out Blouse

This one is my favorite. This cut-out blouse makes any old button-down shirt look brand new with just a few adjustments.

  • DIY Headband

I may just go crazy and turn all my old t-shirts into headbands. This DIY headband is the easiest thing to make that looks so intricate.

  • T-Shirt Bow Sleeves

I am excited to try this one! These bow sleeves are just what the fashion gods called for. I just love how a few snips and some glue can take a plain shirt and turn it into something so cute.

  • DIY Lattice, Stud T-Shirt

I’ve seen this lattice pattern a lot in different clothing stores for a lot of money. Seeing how easy this DIY lattice, stud t-shirt is put together is awesome. Simple yet still stylish – how perfect.

  • DIY Slip Dress

Attention all you beach lovers, this one’s for you! This DIY slip dress takes your old skirts and transforms them into the perfect beach slip accessory.

  • No Sew Cardigan

Cardigans are my favorite type of sweater. They are comfortable around my arms and shoulders and they don’t make me so hot. This no sew cardigan is so simple to make but still looks like a store-bought cardigan.

Sewed Upcycled Looks that Shine

Now, while I love the easiness of the no-sew upcycled looks, these looks are equally amazing.

  • Five-minute T-Shirt Shrug

Fall is here and the weather is nice and breezy; it is time for warmer clothing. This easy five-minute t-shirt shrug is just what you need for those colder weather days.

  • DIY Balenciaga-inspired Crop Top

Look like you just came off the runway with this look. This DIY Balenciaga-inspired crop top is easy to make and is perfect for a night out.

  • DIY Sweater to Mittens

These are adorably called “smittens” and are perfect for the bitter cold days some of us will soon have to deal with – if we aren’t already. These DIY smittens make for some unique mittens made from sweaters that have met their expiration date.

  • DIY Bodysuit From A Tank Top

Bodysuits are definitely on trend and very stylish. This DIY bodysuit takes your old tank tops and certainly gives them a makeover.

  • Boot Socks From Old Sweater

Now these are cute! Instead of spending money on socks suitable for boots, just make these boot socks from some old sweaters you have laying around!

  • Sweater Boots

I LOVE boots, but even I can admit that they are expensive. When I saw these sweater boots, I nearly fell out of my seat. So nice and no one will be able to tell you made that from a sweater.

  • DIY Cozy Sweater Socks

I absolutely love socks! And the cozier and fluffier the sock, the better the feeling. Who knew it was so easy to just take an old sweater to create these DIY cozy sweater socks!

  • Maxi Dress Into Mini Ruffle Skirt And Dress

Isn’t it awesome when you can get two things out of one? That is exactly what you get with this upcycle. Just take your old maxi dress and turn it into this mini ruffle skirt and mini dress!
